What to Expect at YEC2019
Speaker - Wade Morris
Wade is from Birmingham, Alabama and a graduate from Samford University where he received a degree in Business Finance. He also received his Master of Divinity Degree from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.
Wade served on staff at several churches before he surrendered to a full time call to itinerant ministry. Wade’s speaking style is to engage the audience with sound Biblical teaching and insight to make the message of Christ relative to people in all walks of life. This combination allows Wade to share truth with those outside the church as well as deepen the faith of the believer. His ministry has allowed him to speak to hundreds of thousands of adults and students all over the world.
Wade is the founder and producer of The Journey Bible Study Series, which is a study that walks people though the reading and understanding from books of the Bible. Wade started this Bible study in a Starbucks with 14 people and it has now spread to be a personal as well as small group Bible study tool for people in America, Japan, Europe, South Korea and counting. The Journey allows listeners to gain knowledge of the Word of God as well as a chance to apply it to their lives.
As always we will have spirit inspired worship music brought to us in a relevant way that all of our students will connect with and enjoy as they are challenged to worship our Lord and Savior in Spirit and in Truth. Dan Dameron will be leading out in worship this year. Dan has been a part of our worship team at YEC the last several years and we look forward to him leading out this year. Dan is the worship pastor at One Life church in Grand Blanc, Michigan and is a newlywed enjoying life with his new wife Sarah. Dan is committed to the Word of God and leading worship in a way that deepens our love for our God and his Word.
Each year we are blessed to see our students serve Christ via local outreach missions in the greater Flint area.
This year you can expect the same! We will be partnering with local shelters and feeeding centers to serve groceries and personal items for the homeless and hurting in the Flint area. We are asking each adult and student to bring atleast 1 personal hygiene item with them this year to YEC.
Students and leaders alike will be serving alongside each other, not only so that others may be helped, but with intentionality that our service will open up windows of opportunity to share the gospel with those to whom we are reaching out.
This year we will be at the Genesys Athletic Club.
At the facility are basketball courts, tennis courts, squash, racquetball, track, ping pong...
This will be a great time for students to get to know other students and just kick back and have fun midway through the weekend.
